Albert County NB. - Albert County TrailBlazers Atv Club / 130 Bikes / 70 KM

This weekend we attended the Albert County TrailBalzers Atv Poker run and 3Rd. Annual Pig Roast. Weather was outstanding and the trails were filled with a variety of terrain and mountain top views. The Meal was outstanding and the trails were market to perfection, if anyone was interested in attending next years Pig roast I highly recommend it. Atv poker runs are important fund raisers for our New Brunswick Clubs, the funds are needed to fix club trails, club administration and in some cases fuel and financing for their winter trail system.

On this run there were about 130 people and we did around 70 KM - it took us about 6 hours to complete the run. There was many rocky areas and trails washed out from the rain but nothing to major for these seasoned riders. Along the trail we viewed several building abandoned - a part of the past near forgotten and many old signs no loner with an owner or a purpose. Many of the trails we ride are history lessons of our past, very exciting and often very educational. This run was no exception.

Riding in the Outback's of New Brunswick provides you hours of spectacular views, wildlife and nature at its best. On this run the foliage was incredible the view was outstanding and the vegetation along the trails was incredible. The smell in the air was filled with a variety of plant life and when riding through the cut areas you were hit with the smell of pine, cedar and maple trees freshly cut giving off a smell similar to a newly purchased cedar chest.

The group we were riding with traveled at a save speed, waited at each turn and provided hand signals at each intersection or trail condition. We stopped about every 30 minutes for a rest and a snack which provided a nice rest for the next leg of the run. A key to a great run is to know where to stop for a rest. During a hot sunny day - the best areas are shaded tree locations preferable with a brook near by or mountain tops if there is a nice breeze blowing. During each stop there is no lack of stories or friendship - everyone enjoys their break and with gear on and a smile they are off to the next stopping area.

If you enjoyed our write-up and would like to join us on a run, may I suggest you join our riding club ( Free ) and visit our Atv Events Calendar often for New Brunswick Atv Events. If you are interested in renting an atv bike and joining us on a calendar run - give us a call and we will provide you the details. Trac / 333-2080.
